Meet Nathan! This young man is a senior at Webster Thomas High School and is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. Quiet and easy-going, you'd never guess he's a force to be reckoned with on the wrestling floor. He had a rough start this season tearing his meniscus and having four wisdom teeth out, but got back at it after recovering from both surgeries and even placed in Sectionals! Way to go Nate!!!
His home was the perfect place for senior portraits as it's surrounded by woods and it was a beautiful day. I even photographed his brother Dylan a few years ago in this same location. Photographing seniors like this not only makes for a super comfortable and relaxed location, but adds meaning to the images for the student and parents.
Nathan plans to head off to college in the fall to study veterinarian technology. I wish him all the best for the future and thank him and his dad for choosing me to create those senior year portrait memories!

It's hard for me to believe this young lady is a high school senior! I've known Mikah and her family since she was very little and although I have three children of my own and have seen them grow, graduate and begin their adult lives, each time I photograph a senior I've known for a long time, it makes me take pause. There's nothing like watching kids grow up to make you feel old!
Photographing Mikah was nothing short of spectacular! Despite the heat, Mikah was calm and cool as we worked our way around Locust Hill Country Club. Why the country club? Mikah, who spends a lot of time there, is an incredibly talented golfer and has been at it since she was 8 years old. Among her numerous awards are back to back titles as champion for Section Five, Monroe County and All-Greater Rochester (2017 and 2018), Mikah's work ethic on the course is exceptional and it shows.
She and her mom chose the Deluxe session for her senior portraits which allowed for several locations with a huge variety of backdrops. After a brief stop at her salon to touch up her make-up and curl her hair, we met at her second destination, the George Eastman Museum. She continued to shine in and among the gorgeous architecture and foliage of this iconic Rochester landmark.
Mikah's plans for the fall are to attend William & Mary College in Virginia where she will become part of the NCAA Division 1 women's golf team. I have no doubt she will continue to work hard and thrive in both her golfing career and the rigorous academic program the college offers. A big thank you to mom (Courtney) and Mikah for choosing Hayes Photography for her senior portraits and best of luck in the fall and beyond!
